If you’re in Seogwipo and looking for premium Hanwoo (Korean beef), Buther’s Camp, located at 370 Cheonjiyeon-ro, is definitely a spot worth visiting. With its modern and sleek interior, this restaurant offers a luxurious dining experience right from the moment you step inside. It’s an excellent place for those seeking a special meal in Seogwipo.
The signature dishes at Buther’s Camp include the “Buther’s Special” and the “Hanwoo Doenjang Jjageuli.” The “Buther’s Special” features an array of high-quality Hanwoo cuts, perfect for sharing with friends or family. The second-floor dining space is private and cozy, making it ideal for gatherings or a romantic meal. The minimalist yet chic interior design adds to the refined atmosphere, making it a pleasant space to enjoy a leisurely meal.
Parking is convenient and spacious, which is a bonus if you’re driving. After a satisfying meal, you can also explore nearby attractions like Cheonjiyeon Waterfall, making this a perfect stop for both food and sightseeing.
For this visit, we opted for the “Sirloin Combo Set” and the “Hanwoo Doenjang Jjageuli.” The Sirloin Combo Set features an assortment of tender Hanwoo cuts, and the beef practically melted in our mouths. The quality of the premium Hanwoo was unmistakable, with rich, juicy flavors in every bite. Although the beef is cooked on a standard gas burner rather than over charcoal, the taste was still fantastic, showcasing the restaurant’s commitment to quality.
The “Hanwoo Doenjang Jjageuli” was equally impressive, combining savory Hanwoo with a hearty soybean paste stew. The slightly spicy, rich flavors made it a perfect complement to the grilled meat, and it paired beautifully with rice. This stew is an unforgettable dish that’s hard to beat!
As expected for a premium Hanwoo restaurant, Buther’s Camp comes with a slightly steep price tag. The menu ranges from 15,000 KRW to 62,000 KRW, which might be on the higher side for a casual meal. However, considering the top-tier quality of the beef, it’s a price worth paying for a special occasion. While this may not be a spot for everyday dining, it’s certainly a great place for a celebratory meal or a treat with someone special.
According to other food bloggers, Buther’s Camp’s biggest selling point is the outstanding quality of the Hanwoo. The “premium Hanwoo heifer” they use has won many hearts, with most visitors agreeing that the restaurant’s reputation as a top Hanwoo destination is well-deserved. The sleek, modern interior and attentive service also received a lot of praise.
On the downside, the most common complaint is the high price. While the quality justifies the cost for many, some visitors felt the prices could be a bit prohibitive, especially given that there are more affordable Hanwoo options available in Seogwipo. Nevertheless, most agree that the overall experience is worth it.
Buther’s Camp stands out as a premium Hanwoo destination, offering a gourmet experience in a chic, modern setting. The Sirloin Combo Set is a must-try for meat lovers, allowing you to sample a variety of cuts, while the Hanwoo Doenjang Jjageuli delivers a comforting, flavorful punch.
Though the prices are on the higher side, the quality of the meat and the overall dining experience make it worth visiting for a special occasion. If you’re in Seogwipo and craving high-quality Hanwoo, Buther’s Camp should definitely be on your list.
