The café is especially known for its vegan-friendly options, healthy dishes, and warm, inviting atmosphere. I recently visited and tried out some of their signature dishes, and here’s what I loved about this cozy spot.

Café Overview and Location

Tucked away in a quiet residential area of Nohyeong, Evoker is located at 25 Nohyeong 4-gil, Building A, 1st Floor, Unit 1104. While the café can be a little tricky to find at first, once you’re inside, you’ll be greeted by a serene, welcoming space. The only downside? No dedicated parking lot, so you’ll need to find street parking nearby.

The café’s interior is warm and cozy, with wooden furnishings and plenty of greenery, giving it a natural, laid-back vibe. It’s the perfect spot to relax over brunch, whether you’re dining solo or catching up with friends. Despite the modest space, the seating is well-arranged, offering a comfortable and intimate setting to enjoy your meal.

Menu Review: Gosari Soup, Grilled Vegetables, and Evoker Sandwich

During my visit, I ordered the Gosari Soup, Grilled Vegetables, and the Evoker Sandwich, and I was thoroughly impressed by the freshness and flavor of each dish.

  1. Gosari Soup: This was my first time trying gosari (bracken fern) in soup form, and it was absolutely delightful! The soup had a rich, nutty flavor that was both warm and comforting. The texture of the gosari was soft, yet still had a slight chew, which added an interesting depth to the dish. If you’re a fan of earthy, umami-rich flavors, this soup is a must-try.
  2. Grilled Vegetables: The Grilled Vegetables were simple yet delicious. Each vegetable had a natural sweetness that was enhanced by the grilling process. The dish was light but full of flavor, with each bite offering a different taste and texture. It’s a great choice if you’re looking for something healthy and flavorful.
  3. Evoker Sandwich: The Evoker Sandwich features Jeju’s famous black pork Jambon Beurre (cured ham) served with carrot slaw, which added a refreshing crunch to the sandwich. The combination of the savory ham and the tangy carrot slaw was absolutely perfect. The bread was crusty on the outside and soft inside, making every bite a joy. It’s a hearty yet refreshing option for brunch lovers.

What I Loved About Evoker

  1. Delicious Brunch Menu: The entire brunch menu at Evoker is flavorful and thoughtfully prepared. The Gosari Soup stood out for its unique, nutty flavor, and the Evoker Sandwich was the perfect balance of savory and refreshing.
  2. Plenty of Vegan Options: Whether you’re vegan or not, you’ll find plenty to enjoy at Evoker. The Grilled Vegetables were especially delicious, and there are numerous plant-based options to choose from, making it a great spot for anyone looking for healthy, vegan-friendly dishes.
  3. Jeju Black Pork Jambon Beurre: The Evoker Sandwich is a must-try for those who love a good sandwich. The black pork jambon, paired with crunchy carrot slaw, made it a satisfying and flavorful dish. It’s light enough for brunch but filling enough to keep you satisfied.

Things to Keep in Mind

  1. No Dedicated Parking Lot: While the food and ambiance are fantastic, the lack of a parking lot is a bit inconvenient. You’ll need to park in a nearby public space or find street parking.

3-Line Summary

  1. A café with delicious, fresh brunch dishes, including standout options like Gosari Soup and the Evoker Sandwich.
  2. Vegan-friendly, with a variety of plant-based dishes that don’t skimp on flavor.
  3. A perfect spot for a relaxing meal—just be prepared to find street parking nearby.
