Located in Gujwa-eup, Jeju City, Ujeongwon Bakery Jeju Samnamu Branch is a café that exudes a special charm. The address is 7-39 Songdang-dong 2-gil, and the café feels as though it’s nestled right in the heart of a grand pine forest. You can enjoy both coffee and bakery delights while surrounded by nature. During my visit, I ordered an Americano, a Grapefruit Ade, and paired them with Salted Bread and Lemon Pound Cake. Today, I’ll share a detailed review of the atmosphere and the food.

Cafe Introduction and Location

Ujeongwon Bakery Jeju Samnamu Branch is located in Songdang-ri, Gujwa-eup. The first thing you’ll notice upon arriving is the grand pine tree garden surrounding the café. The pine forest gives the impression of enjoying coffee amidst a beautiful forest, creating a peaceful and calming atmosphere. The outdoor garden surrounding the café is a lush, green escape, perfect for enjoying a coffee break while basking in the natural surroundings, especially on a sunny day.

Inside, the warm, nature-inspired design is evident throughout. The wooden furniture and warm lighting create a cozy and inviting ambiance, with large windows allowing plenty of natural light to brighten the space. It’s a comfortable and stylish space to relax and enjoy the view.

Americano, Grapefruit Ade, Salted Bread, and Lemon Pound Cake Review

I ordered the Americano, Grapefruit Ade, Salted Bread, and Lemon Pound Cake, and here’s what I thought:

The Americano had a clean, rich flavor that was well-balanced, offering just the right amount of bitterness. The coffee wasn’t too strong but still had that deep, roasted taste that I love.

The Grapefruit Ade was refreshing and perfect for a hot day. It had a pleasant balance of tangy grapefruit flavor with a slight bitterness, and the inclusion of grapefruit pulp added a fun texture to the drink.

The Salted Bread was crispy on the outside while soft and buttery on the inside. The subtle saltiness paired beautifully with the rich butter flavor, making it a delightfully addictive treat.

The Lemon Pound Cake was light, moist, and had a refreshing lemon zest flavor. It wasn’t overly sweet, which made it the perfect accompaniment to coffee. The tangy lemon flavor came through without overpowering the soft cake, making it a great choice for those who love citrus desserts.

Cafe Atmosphere and Interior

The highlight of Ujeongwon Bakery is undoubtedly its pine tree garden. As you step into the café, you feel like you’re in the middle of a forest, with towering trees and lush green grass providing a serene and peaceful backdrop. If you love nature, this garden is the perfect spot for a relaxing break.

Inside, the café has a cozy, natural, and aesthetic design. The wooden furniture and warm lighting create a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere, while the large windows offer fantastic views of the garden. The combination of outdoor and indoor seating options makes it a versatile space for any kind of visit, whether you’re seeking solitude or a place to chat with friends.

Pricing

Ujeongwon Bakery offers reasonably priced coffee and baked goods. The Americano and Grapefruit Ade were priced between 5,000 and 6,000 KRW, making them affordable options for Jeju. The bread and desserts ranged from 4,000 to 6,000 KRW, which is quite reasonable considering the quality and the beautiful surroundings. I really appreciated being able to enjoy such a lovely environment with high-quality coffee and bakery items without breaking the bank.

Pros and Cons

The biggest advantage of Ujeongwon Bakery is its majestic pine tree garden and the reasonable prices for coffee and baked goods. It’s rare to find a café where you can immerse yourself in nature while enjoying a peaceful coffee break, making this an ideal spot for anyone seeking a serene environment. The pricing also makes it easy to visit regularly without feeling like you’re overspending.

However, one drawback is that parking can be challenging when it gets crowded. On weekends or holidays, the café can attract many visitors, so finding parking might require some patience. It’s a good idea to keep this in mind and plan accordingly.

3-Line Summary

  1. A café with a magnificent pine tree garden for a peaceful retreat.
  2. Delicious coffee at a reasonable price in a picturesque setting.
  3. If this café were nearby, I’d be visiting every day!

If you’re looking for a peaceful café surrounded by nature in Jeju, Ujeongwon Bakery Jeju Samnamu Branch is the perfect choice! The combination of a grand pine tree garden and affordable, delicious coffee and bakery treats make it a must-visit spot for both locals and tourists alike.
